Shifts IQ Privacy Policy.

Shifts IQ is a client optimized for Microsoft Teams Shifts within Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams. It allows you to access, edit, create, and sync shift schedules, open shifts, and time-off requests from the corresponding Microsoft services.

Information Shifts IQ collects and stores

Shifts IQ does not collect any personal information for its own purposes, nor does it send any personal data to any server external to Microsoft's cloud that is required to provide the functionality you request.

• Authentication & access tokens. Your Microsoft 365 credentials are never seen by us. Authentication is handled directly by Microsoft. Any access tokens or refresh tokens issued by Microsoft to enable Shifts IQ to function are stored locally on your device or within the host application's secure storage and are used solely to access Microsoft services on your behalf.
• Configuration data. If applicable, tenant- or service-specific endpoints and your app preferences (e.g., last viewed team schedule, time zone settings, or filter preferences) are stored locally to improve your experience.
• No analytics or tracking. Shifts IQ does not include third‑party analytics, advertising SDKs, or trackers.

Consent. By authenticating and using the application, you consent to the processing of data as defined by these permissions. This consent is managed entirely within your Microsoft 365 tenant; you or your administrator can revoke these permissions at any time via the Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) portal.

Use of your information

Stored configuration data, access tokens, and permission scopes are used exclusively to:

• Establish a secure connection to Microsoft 365 services.
• Synchronize your shift data, team schedules, and open shift requests during online mode.
• Maintain your selected preferences across sessions.

Shifts IQ does not build user profiles or share your data for marketing purposes.

Security of data

Shifts IQ is network‑capable and connects to Microsoft 365 services via secure web protocols (HTTPS/TLS). All local data is protected by the host platform's secure storage mechanisms. Where an application datastore is used, it is encrypted using an application key that is randomly generated at first run and protected by your device or account security (e.g., system keychain, OS‑level encryption, or password/PIN/biometric safeguards).

Data retention

Shifts IQ retains only locally stored configuration data and tokens necessary for operation. You can delete this data at any time by signing out and/or uninstalling the app, which removes local storage and requires fresh authentication the next time you sign in.

Data sharing and transfers

Shifts IQ does not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Data flows only between your device and Microsoft 365 services as needed to provide functionality you initiate (for example, publishing a schedule or swapping a shift). We do not operate a separate backend that stores your Microsoft 365 content.

Children's privacy

Shifts IQ is intended for business and workforce management use within Microsoft 365. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Effective date" above will be updated.
